When I began to properly heal from my traumas, an entirely new world opened up for me. My eyes and soul could finally see the life I was designed to live. I felt confident, empowered, encouraged and finally in control of my life. The baggage I had been carrying for years was finally released. I was free to live without boundaries, face my fears and take risks in ways I had never done before. As a survivor that has thrived and defeated the odds, I want to work with you in identifying the gaps that are preventing you from living the life you want to live and support you in accomplishing goals that you never considered possible.
As part of my own healing is to support others, I desire to coach those that are currently doing the healing work and are looking to take steps to live their best life.
Through coaching I can help you:
- Build confidence
- Work to gain clarity, meaning and fulfillment in your life
- Build stronger healthier relationships
- Design a roadmap to accomplish goals in areas you feel stuck
My style of coaching is from the lens of a survivor. One of compassion, faith, enthusiasm and accountability. I combine many years of Change Management Consultant experience, my Masters Degree in Training and Development and my personal healing journey from childhood sexual abuse and adult sexual assault for a unique approach designed to encourage survivors to thrive.
What this means for the sexual abuse and domestic violence survivor is that I am able to support your decision to heal and work with you to design a life plan that you didn't consider possible. All too often, sexual abuse and domestic violence survivors are in a cycle of self-destruction, low self-esteem, and chaos. I have been there before and am proof that you can make positive changes and positive paradigm shifts. It can be done in a delicate and personal manner with the utmost of confidentiality.
Therapy vs Coaching:
Therapy is the deep inner work in aiding a person to for resolve mild to severe psychological problems, major life changes, major medical diagnoses, employment or career transition or traumatic events. Therapy can come in many forms from traditional, faith-based or holistic means. If you have addictions, trauma, difficulty functioning day-to-day or are experiencing a major life transition, then therapy can be the right option. Therapists take insurance payments, credit cards or can charge individuals on a sliding scale based on their ability to pay. Most coaches do not take insurance and will charge a person on an hourly basis or preset amount agreed upon by both parties.
Coaching is for people who may or may not be functional and still desire some extra care and focus in a particular area of their life. Coaching is the ability to assist a person in one of more parts of their lives and “coach”, mentor, or lead them in a positive manner to achieve the goals set in the concentrated areas of focus in their life.
